Why deleting is safe

A tool that removes many gigabytes is a sharp knife. That is why the focus is not on the amount, but on what is not touched.

What is usually still open before the first start.

How is StorageMaster installed?
Via a setup program, StorageMaster-Setup.exe. It guides you through the installation and creates an uninstall entry. No background services are set up.
Which version of Windows do I need?
Windows 10 or Windows 11 as a 64-bit system. Plus about 80 MB of free space.
Does the program need an internet connection?
Only once, for activation with the license key. After that StorageMaster works offline permanently – and does not establish a connection by itself either.
Can the program delete important files?
System directories, personal folders and user files are on a fixed blocklist that cannot be released through the settings either.
Why does Windows warn about the file at startup?
Because the file is new and not signed with a purchased certificate, the SmartScreen filter may show a warning. Using More info → Run anyway starts the program. The warning disappears once the file is sufficiently widespread.
Does StorageMaster need administrator rights?
Only the installation requires administrator rights. Afterwards the program deliberately runs without elevated rights; entries that are inaccessible as a result are marked instead of being silently skipped.
Which languages is the program available in?
Eight: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Turkish and Portuguese. The language is detected automatically from Windows.
How many devices does one license key cover?
One key is valid for one device. After changing computers or reinstalling Windows, the device binding has to be reset – for that, contact support via Discord.
How do I get a license key?
Through the license portal. Sign-in works via Discord; only your Discord identifier is requested – no email address, no server list, no messages.
